Google real estate - reality time

More developments from Google Australia in their map functionality, which is a loud wake up call for all in this industry.

The Google Blog explains that the recent real estate search developments widely reported within the industry did not go far enough.  To remind the reader this was the introduction of the ‘more’ feature to the top of the map which produced a ‘real estate’ option.   We all mooted what may happen next and last night the Google Blog announced that one can now search for ‘real estate’ and get real estate results, moreover searching ‘homes for sale sydney’  pulls up, well a bunch of homes for sale in Sydney.

Ok, so this is still in the map search, but surely only one step away from the main search and if you haven’t smelt the coffee yet, time to wake up!  I wrote about this two years ago so don’t say no one ever saw it coming.  What you all do in preparation will of course keep all the commentators and pundits in business for a few more months.
